We make this unnecessarily dramatic. We do this to ourselves. Because we don't want to do the tiniest things to help Black people.
There are like 5 or 10 very easy decisions that could have been made in the past 4 years, to avoid us getting to this point.
Even on Mastodon, you can see us progressing through these steps of the cycle, from dem voters ignoring and rejecting what Black folks are asking for, being in denial about the very real risks... and then jumping straight to despair. 🤷🏿♂️
