Last time I looked (five minutes ago), the United States Intelligence Community—an agency that exists purely as a coordination/clearinghouse for other intelligence aencies—had 17 member agencies. And those are the DECLARED intelligence agencies. Did you know that the Army of the US Navy (the Marine Corps) has its own intelligence agency? And so does the Coast Guard!
