In agreement with Luther, I love the Roman Christians and I love the Roman Church - insofar as they have valid sacraments. But the papacy and the attendant false theology that has put countless souls in danger, that's abominable.
Still, like Luther, I'd rather be a Roman Catholic than a Baptist. "Better to drink Blood with the Pope than wine with Zwingli."
Pledging fealty and service to an apostate church sounds like an invalid vow, color me shocked that someone would find offense with that idea.
On vows, was Jephthah godly when he fulfilled his vow by killing his daughter?
