This happens a lot less than on Twitter/X, but every once in a while on here I get a reply that seems to think climate physics is negotiable. That it will offer us some kind of opt out.

We seem to confuse the uncertainty of predicting specific climatic outcomes in specific timeframes with there being an uncertainty that bad outcomes are coming our way.
