I do want to add that talking to family who voted for him has been helpful. The people who voted for him are not necessarily Trump supporters. They are the mirror-image of me. I'm so disgusted with him that I was willing to hold my nose and vote for Harris; well, they were so disgusted with Biden (from whom Harris declined to detach herself) and repulsed by the Democratic agenda (from which Harris made declined to separate herself) that they decided they had to hold their nose and vote for Trump. So the good news here is that this result is not an embrace of Trump, it's a rejection of the Democratic Party.

That's great, because the Democrats can change.

The problem is, they won't. They'll double down on exactly the same shit that drove people to vote for Trump.

So there's an opportunity here, but also a challenge.
