I agree with you on many things but not this one. Giving young people the ability to choose to have a college or university eduction without the fear of crushing and off-putting debt enables them to gain higher paying jobs with higher tax contributions. Blocking people from that opportunity is short-sighted and self-defeating for the relative education of the nation competing in a global economy. Current policy is typical of the UK's ignoring the big picture.
