Over the last few days, I have been carry out a side-by-side comparison of ChatGPT and Perplexity (paid pro version for both).
My use case is primarily background research for work and personal topics. I use Ai to help me identify relevant information and sources for topics and then summarize the resulting large amount of information. I also use Ai to help expand my thinking and identify other potential areas of inquiry related to a topic that I might not have considered.
