In particular, I'll still keep the internal library in C for some reason (mainly for ease of porting..), but I might end up adopting Go, or even Elixir for the fastcgi frontend. I do like the "true" frontend being mainly in Perl and I hope it encourages you guys to want to tweak it some; the fundamentals are still there.
