#Odysee is dropping #Stripe because of their demand to restrict users who don't align with Stripe’s policies. Odysee was working with Stripe to facilitate fiat based creator payments. However, Stripe wants to know all about their users. They want Odysee to collect all kinds of sensitive information about users, because Stripe doing #KYC checks as the money transmitter is not enough. Users would have gone through a prior round of arbitrary KYC checks first. Odysee will be implementing a #blockchain-based solution apparently relying on #ARweave which makes sense from the standpoint of Odysee using AR for content storage but I would much prefer to see a #privacy-focused implementation based on #Monero. Can we get #XMR on Odysee?
