Oh! But basically, since the forum uses ActivityPub, we can follow their posts and categories with our Mastodon accounts without needing to make an account over there.

For example, we can follow PeerTube accounts from Mastodon even though Peertube isn't Mastodon, so just as an example, try clicking on nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq8gcpqh044r2z7wj3q0u2a5yxhq2ykmw5nht6ef5u9h4pmwk6njysxm5eke (nprofile…5eke)

Same with Bookwyrm people, etc.

This is from their Wiki,

Each Category in the forum has an equivalent Fediverse address. Some of these are listed at the end of this article. Always check the forum itself for the complete list. When in the forum, click on any category (example: Mastodon) and you will see the “Forum Fediverse address” near the top of the page. They all follow the format @<category>@thefedi.forum Again, as an example nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpqths9drx5wpy6xm9zyc3jguzjfpdna52t6k6wxqxtyruz8yrtuzqs0ph2mu (nprofile…h2mu)

You can follow my PeerTube and comment on any of my videos without making a PeerTube account, as an example. I'm trying to do the same thing with this forum. Follow their categories from my Mastodon account. I already followed their Mastodon category, above, so now I am looking to follow other categories in the forum.
