But, of course, there were many wars and conflict in the history that lead to the Myrmecos of today. There was even an entire genus of ants driven to extinction (or so the city ants assume!)
It's not all hugs and flowers-- but there is a reason ants are famous both for their wars and for their orderly, peaceful polyglot cities.
