And many of his core supporters went across to Trump (that speaks volumes if he couldn't/chose not to control his supporters). Jill Stein (Putin's friend) didn't help either, pulling votes into the void. Of course, this was on top of the lies and the 'lock her up' chants from the Trump camp. It gave enough doubt to the average voter.
But you know all this...
