npub147cs3tl7d2e9uhzns8wyreacdh8sw25092jjf5ka4uycvr2rqhnsu527uk (npub147c…27uk) I'm bad at flower ID, but I think this is Lobularia maritima, a.k.a. sweet alyssum. It's a ground cover that grows no taller than 10cm but scan quickly spread many meters. It takes over the planted areas in our yard every February and March. IMHO is quite pretty when it blooms, but it turns gnarly and messy when the weather warms. Pulling it spreads the seeds everywhere, which is why they always come back next year. It is considered invasive in California.

This is the my first time taking a closeup, and like all my recent playing with my new macro lens, I was surprised and delighted by what I saw.
