It's not that semiconductor fab *itself*, or even its *direct* consequences, improves those things; it’s that the work required to do it has knock-on effects in adjacent fields.
Mind, I have no idea if that's actually relevant to tires. 😂 I think it's just the strongest version of the case for the original argument.
