TIL a Supreme Court case challenged the Civil Rights Act of 1964 the very same year it was passed. In Heart of Atlanta Motel, Inc. v. United States, the Supreme Court ruled that Title II of the act did not exceed Congress's authority by the Commerce Clause, and the Act remained constitutional.
