Dateline July 13, 2024. St Gaudens, France. I know how we on the fedi all feel about fireworks. And bastille day isn’t until Sunday. But I am sitting in a park along the banks of the Garonne with three exhausted children waiting for the fireworks to start. It is nearly 11pm. They must have turned on an ultrasonic bat repellent excuse suddenly the bats and the mosquitoes they were eating have disappeared. I’m full of frites, sausages and paella. #Bastille #France
