I think I’ve always had it. I have always been the person in short sleeves when other people are reaching for coats & scarves. I hate being overheated due to clothing or heating, although I can tolerate natural summer heat up to a point. I sometimes fail to notice that I’m getting cold until I’m chilled. So typically, on a fine winter’s day without any wind, I’m lightly dressed until I suddenly realise I’m cold as the sun starts to drop. I hate overheated indoor spaces.

Menopause was mental, with unbelievable hot flushes & me frantically shedding layers or suddenly pulling on bedcovers when I realise I’ve cooled down & it’s 5 degrees C. (It doesn’t get very cold here in winter.) Interestingly, hot flushes bothered me less, along with ADHD type nervous energy, when I was on holidays.

So I notice getting warm, but miss that I’m getting cold.
