It has become a thing. At least once a year I succumb to the selfie urge and post a close-up pic of me contriving to act totally natural or cool or something.
Behold!
A little black and white with a lot of added grain, just to compensate for the real world un-naturalness and un-coolness of my TMB.1–ooOoo–
Photography. I am still absolutely absorbed with photography, and after buying a very cheap 35mm lens from China to use on my expensive Fujifilm XT-5…I have just ordered a very cheap 50mm lens from the same place.
The 35mm is fantastic enough for me, and it cost only a fraction of similar brand names ($70 verses $1000 plus). I won’t bother you with the details of why you would want to have a 35mm and a 50mm lens or why two separate lenses would be superior to just having a single zoom lens…..because it’s not your nap time yet.
Monochromatic is my mode of choice right now. Black and white is worth the fight as they say. So for the next wee while (pre-emptive pun…see below) I will be posting predominantly B&W photos of my ongoing attempts to produce something decent.
Moreover, if you do actually engage with any of my pictures please take a moment to hit the like button or drop a thumbs up in the comments, because nothing helps develop photos like a good soaking in high octane dopamine2.–ooOoo–
A few people have emailed me to make sure everything is OK after I posted that we have had to cancel our Japan trip. Thanks for your concerns. Everything is fine.
Unfortunately, I have to have some unexpected sorting out of a problem of the male plumbing kind (if you get my drift).
The timing could not have been worse, but we decided it was better to attend to things now rather risk interrupting the overall flow of the holiday (if you get my drift) and then having to deal with any potential travel insurance claims etc.
My first ever hospital admission will be next week.
