Somewhere between my inability to sleep and watching misc dumb videos about "How to play X character in DnD", I have had a horrible idea grace my mind. Grabbing monsters from the bestiary and using them to play a dumb war game or something.
Basically everyone is playing from the role of DM, and you're just trying to win whatever objective you're playing with an army of monsters from the book
