In a fit of nostalgia, and because the other dating apps aren't working for me, I created a new OKCupid account yesterday. OKCupid introduced me to a lot of cool people back in the oughts. And it's free to sign up, so why not?
24 hours later, despite showing me a series of "matches" that were all at least 75 miles away from me, I received an email telling me that I now have 39 likes. Which you can't view without paying them, of course.
I don't know what to say other than I do not believe them. I think they are just lying to me to push me to pay the subscription fee.
Today OKCupid is owned by Match Group, which, well, you know.
