There’s a limited time on that ability to revoke one’s parental rights, a similar time to the timetable that the woman has to choose to terminate. Along with this a man should be able to get a paternity test on demand to prove the kid is his. Should that test come up negative and he has been held responsible whether in the home or not, he should then have the right to sue for fraud.

This is a far more balanced system than what we have today.
