I feel like the main thing the Facebook Papers did was reveal how little non-tech people in government, policy, and journalism had previously understood about the stuff that was wildly obvious to people who worked on or paid close attention to any of the big social systems. Just a truly astonishing gap in understanding.
And of course gov officials and many journalists reacted in real horror and tech was like 🙄 Okay whatever but people don’t like chronological feeds.
