Part of me thinks MAYBE she was protecting the 20 lbs of bird seed inside from the squirrels. What a nice extra service! If only they'd put things on my covered side porch when rain is expected, it would be better...

Oh well. The funny thing is after I brought it inside, it became her chosen place to sit &observe while I did chores in the kitchen til I opened it. When I got another package yesterday, she did the same thing. I think she likes the feel of the cardboard under her bum.
