I wish I could articulate this better, but if you are waiting for someone to apologize to you or explain themselves to you and you know deep down that they won’t, it’s ok to accept that.

It has no bearing on you or your worth. They are not a good person to know, and that is how shitty people behave. That is the full explanation and resolution.

Leaving that door open is fine, but just make sure you protect yourself first, because the ‘power’ of withholding is part of the game for them.
