I often think of how Conservatives basically surrendered college campuses to liberals. When "SJW" was first coined and it was all loser gender studies types, Con Inc people claimed it was an impossible ideology that would never survive outside of campus. Well, those people did leave college and went on to get positions of power in HR, created DEI departments across Fortune 500 companies, run the moderation for the most powerful social media websites, run ESG funds to create social credit scores and punish those who don't toe the line, and found sensitivity consultants like Sweet Baby Inc.
A sad truth is that you can't effect change by passively abandoning. The incompetent army will always beat the army that never shows up to the battle.
