This is a totally reasonable position to take, but this is one of the big reasons why I’ve come back to my half finished mastodon app. Seeing a conversation play out intermingled with the rest of your timeline just doesn’t seem right.

Threads actually does this pretty well by grouping posts together in the timeline. I’ve seen mastodon apps try to do that too but not as well.
