Trees will block trails and roads, bridges will ice, and areas that you walked across in a T shirt this week may be drifted in and impassible. Have a plan to feed yourself for days. Be ready to keep warm in wet, cold weather. Search and rescue will be hampered by new snow and poor road conditions.
