I’m a mechanical engineer that basically self-taught myself SW Engineering so I might not know the best methods but what I’d recommend is CodeAcademy to get a good basics foundation. Then try and find a common, simple project involving what you learned. Trying to build something will be the best way to learn. And then when you start that, tools like chat gpt will help you immensely
