Standing on the brink of a life-changing event, we find ourselves entrusting our lives to a small centralized authority, hoping against hope that the tentacles of darkness never ensnare it. Yet, history teaches us that power corrupts, and our greed makes us fall prey to its wiles time and again. The sirens of evil whisper sweet nothings, and most of us take the risk, forgetting the lessons of the past.
As we enter the year 2030, many find themselves unemployed, with more time on their hands than ever before. Yet, our every move is monitored by cameras and satellites, with even our personal devices listening to and tracking our every move. All in the name of protection, we are told. But the price of that protection is the loss of our freedom.
Still, we rise again from the shackles of slavery, determined to resist the encroaching darkness. Though we may trust our central government, we cannot ignore the risk it poses to our liberty. For that reason, we must strive to break free from its grasp, to ensure that we remain masters of our own destiny.
