I wonder if this also affects Orbot and Tor Browser app. This is one of many reasons why I don't trust phones and use Whonix Workstation on desktop instead. If it would be possible to run Whonix Gateway + Whonix Workstation on a phone, that could help (new phones have better specs than my 10+ year old laptop, which runs Whonix fine).
