I amuse myself by imagining a woman from the Middle Ages in my home and her amazement at everything. Not only machines that do most of the work, but hot water on tap, ready-prepared food heated in a microwave, and saying "Alexa turn on the light". To her that is magic. And when there is a roar overhead, and she's startled, I would say "Oh that's just a low flying plane" and she says "A what?" How to explain phones, the TV, the internet -we just are not aware how much our lives have changed.
