The coffee bean grinder has worked really well for the dried chillis. A word of warning though to anyone else about to do this. Open doors and windows first, wear a mask. The invisible cloud of powder as I tipped the ground up chillis into the little jar made me cough uncontrollably, my nose is running and my eyes are more sore than they already were.
