nprofile1qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kyqpq470eejvk3fdzrmqljjmy87yvq2neq56fx2ey2rm3tp9rgqa99ufsvrxeru (nprofile…xeru) 's inspiring keynote "What makes LLMsso irresistible?" at #DHd2025 to me seems to suggest that the Turing test may be one of the worst suited tests to identify intelligence or meaningful interaction (because we humans tend to see it where it isn't). Do we have any other (more "objective") test?

And possibly, more importantly, is that really the best way to put that what we should be testing for?

"Success criteria" of interaction may be different from intelligence/intentionality being involved on more than one side of the interaction. Much food for thought...
