I love how the browser ecosystem is evolving. There are so many options for everyone—Chromium and Firefox forks, resurrections of WebKit, some are even building entirely new engines. From experimental UI/UX concepts to hyper-vigilant security and privacy, and even the integration of new search engines like Kagi, there’s a ton of innovation happening.
Unfortunately, most browsers don’t offer native apps on every platform, making synchronization impossible or at least difficult. No matter how snappy, energy-efficient, or well-integrated a browser is on one system, I won’t stick with it long-term if it isn’t available on macOS, Linux, and Android.
If I had to bet on one thing from a business standpoint, it would be vendor- and platform-independent browser sync with end-to-end encryption.
