Anti cheat games don’t work. Lutris has anti cheat settings but don’t know what they do. Denuvo drm games are hit or miss depending on the crack. But yeah you give up steam online play, but coop works over lan/vpn. I don’t even have steam installed. I use gamescope to override the de compositor and fractional scaling to hard code game resolution too.
