It’s interesting to note that all these companies cutting their DEI initiatives weren’t forced by the government to implement them in the first place. It was social pressure and the need to attract talent that drove them to implement these programs, but we’ve entered the investor economy, and all that matters is producing shareholder value, and companies have the upper hand when it comes to hiring because people need jobs to pay for the price increases the companies have imposed.
