Bitcoin, nostr and other innovations banned in China could spark incredible innovations. A ban on more technologies that empower the individual could hinder the future growth of the chinese economy.
What I fear is the fact that the CCP could disallow such inventions for the common man but use them on a state level thus avoiding giving freedom to the individual but still profiting of them. For example: china adapts bitcoin for trade to counter the USD hegemony but keeps the ban on domestic bitcoin transactions.
