Inflationary monetary policy makes just as much sense as deflationary monetary policy. It just depends on what you want your economic system to accomplish. If beans are plentiful and in ever increasing supply this is effectively a form of wealth redistribution and will allow everyone to have beans to eat and spend. You can use beans as currency but holding on to them as a form of long term investment would be poor financial planning. The beans would spoil eventually and become worthless. Far better to plant them and invest in more beans or make them into a delicious salad. I have a lovely bean salad recipe if you would like to know more.
