Great episode, been a knife guy since about 1978 when I got my first pocket knife. Also thankful that my dad taught me how to sharpen, I'll never for it. The knife was a polish knock off of a Swiss Army Knife. He'd dull the blade on the stone, then have me sharpen it back up. The stone was one of those cheap carborundum two sided ones. They he showed me how to strop it on a leather strop. Which I think I may still have!
