You know, unlike some other colleagues, I chose not to use my birthday as an engagement event. Since diving back into content creation after retiring from freelance blogging, I stopped "reminding" publicly about my birthday.
While today is not exactly a exception, I'd like to use this day as a moment to reflect on the past 6 to 7 months, health-wise.
This "new trip around the sun" has a big highlight & is that for the 1st time in over 2 decades that I've embarked on getting back to a healthy weight.
After feeling constantly unwell and bearing the brunt of my unhealthy lifestyle, particularly on my feet, I decided to make a change. I was tired of "being tired."
Since then, my progress has been remarkable. As I cross the halfway point of my lifespan, I'm steadily losing weight and reaching levels I haven't seen in 20 years.
And I haven't even started working out yet—this has all been about controlling my food intake, making wiser dietary choices, drinking more water, and cutting down on soft drinks. So, I feel motivated to say this: it's never too late to be healthy.
If you're overweight and physically able to do something about it, do it. You only live once, and I intend to be as healthy and present for my family as I can be in the second half of my life.
