silverpill (npub1df0…7gmw) Helge (npub1ug7…vaes) Those are both interesting proposals, but I'm not sure how just attaching DIDs to actors that are still identified by other URIs helps with migration? It'd let you prove that "yes, this new account is controlled by me, the same person who controls my old account" but you still have the issue of people and post identifiers being tied to where they're hosted. The key point of using a domain you control, or a DID, as the primary identifier for objects is that the migration process doesn't change/invalidate any of the data that's already out there
