SniperKnighter (npub1ljy…mx0l)
I'm not usually into this type of manga/anime, but when they showed this in a university anime club I sat in on, I was sold.
>for some reason that in context of the show makes no sense, many men seem to be attracted to emma compared to other females in the show and from what we see of emma she doesn’t give any reason for this at all
She's a honest, hard working, earnest, kind woman who was serious, sober, and had sufficient intellegence. While some may say "plain", not being flashy, dolled-up, or some stereotypical "strong woman" is certainly a plus. She was definitely the best waifu material in the series.
>she was so plain
It was a good contrast to the other women who put too much stock and too much energy into caring about what potential love interests saw in them. She didn't need her ego stroked and constantly demonstrated why she was wife material.''
The series was historically accurate (a rarity in any age), including loli Emma being kidnapped to be sold to a brothel.
I also highly recommend the manga-ka's other series "Brides Stories", which is even more beautifully drawn and has a plethora of wife tier Central Asian waif material.
