I got myself a "#LEGO Interface A" card and brought it back to life on a modern PC using BRICK Lines (my FOSS clone of LEGO Lines). The original software had been used with an 8-bit machine (e.g. the Apple II, the Commodore C64, the BBC Micro and the IBM PC). There was also other software such as TC logo (see much more on https://archive.org/details/vintagelegorobotics). BRICK Lines can load old save files from the Commodore & Apple ][. Using the Arduino Nano as a serial-to-parallel converter.
