Still figuring out NMM but I feel like I had a better handle on it by the last figs compared to the first. That and the hard deadline for the tourney coming up was a good pressure in a sense to improve skills. A team takes me 9-10 months normally but the pro elves were ~3 months (not counting the horror of gluing their face on!)
