"I was shopping in a small boutique about 20 years ago when I first came across SomaFm. I was really enjoying the grooves (salad) and had to ask the shop owner who was on their stereo - she told me it was a streaming site and wrote down the url. Back then streaming was a novelty and I was intrigued. I've been a big fan ever since, hitting a wide range of my eclectic tastes from Illinois St. Lounge to Space Station Soma.
