Humans have weaknesses. We would all love to be as tough as we claim to be. Look at any situation where people have to make hard choices and usualy they will. To me civilization was the attempt to limit the need to make those hard choices for as many as possible. If you torture a man to get him to talk, given enough pain, eventualy he will. I pray that Christians or anyone else does not have to face this type of world, but if ones eyes are open it seems to be coming.
The powers that be seem to be focusing on outcasting anyone who thinks outside thier box. It always starts incrementaly. The really scary thing is the technology advancements put those in control with an unimaginable power. Civilized people want to trust that everyone is like them, generaly good. Even "good " people will do bad things if incentivised enough. We have been programed over a long time to trust the system. Were the good guys right. We dont even know who is really our President. In America we have had the privilege of a generaly safe enviornment. Not everyone has lived this way. If one does not have a higher power, then this life is all there is.
When people have nothing to lose they lose it.
