my smartest dog was a standard poodle. I bought dozens of dog toys, children’s dolls and stuffed animals. I taught him their names. I’d close him up in Mom’s bedroom (before she moved in with me) and hide whatever it was anywhere in the house, including upstairs, in the shower, etc., or I’d leave a door cracked to outside and he’d look there, too. He’d run around sniffing wildly and would bark and spin when he found it. I wish I had a video. He was amazing.
