Huh. I pay most of my utilities because they first sent a normal paper bill to me, but then I gave the info about that bill to my bank, my bank says "oh, we know these people, we'll sort it out" and then the bill just goes direct to the bank and they pay it. Easy, right?

But if at some point you select "paperless billing" all this gets utterly broken. Because it turns out what actually happens behind the scenes is that they still were sending bits of paper back and forth. What the actual fuck?
