I trust what Zaluzhny has written is accurate — Ukraine has established parity with Russia, which means neither side is able to establish a clear offensive superiority. Especially that I see the same reports on Russian side, with their offensives on Kupyansk and Avdiivka stuck, in the same way as Ukrainian offensive in Robotyne is stuck.

Zaluzhny's article isn't defeatist, it's simply stating facts. He enumerates very specific reasons why the front has stopped. If any side can overcome these reasons, they can gain superiority and move forward.

Of course, I'd love that side to be Ukraine and many people have hopes on the Kherson front. Some people, like Arestovych, believe no further advances are possible and it's time to switch to strategic defense.

I don't believe in any major conflicts in Ukrainian government as portrayed by some media. What we read is primarily result of great transparency of Ukrainian command, unfortunately this transparency also means that unpleasant topics will be discussed in open, which we are now witnessing.

But these discussions allow them to choose the best course, which in stark contrast to Russia, as demonstrated by waves of suicidal attacks on Avdiivka and Vugledar.

If, as result of these decisions, Ukraine goes for some kind of ceasefire, I'd be confident they took the best decision at this situation. And, by contrast, if they launch another offensive, I'll be also confident that decision had a solid base.

In any case, my support for Ukrainian army is unconditional — whatever their command decides, I'll continue supporting them with equipment and financially.
