i don't know what is going to happen to all the blockchains though, i can see that probably in the next two 4 year cycles there will be a LOT of attrition as tokens go to zero because of or irrespective of loss of userbase

i don't think LN will be the dominant payment system for bitcoin either, it's got some really serious weaknesses and they would be solved with the right cryptographic constructions that enable path routing and end the stuck payment problem and the griefer problem
